Time New Space is a display font born from the rigid structure of a 5×5 circle in square
grid. Inspired by the flow of time through the space-time continuum, each letterform
melts, merges, and connects as if it were a liquid in zero gravity.
The result is a unique, futuristic typeface that feels both modular and organic. Its bold,
rounded shapes and continuous melting forms convey a look simultaneously retro-tech
and fluidly modern.
Time New Space came about during my non-profit rebrand project. It uses the 5×5 grid I came up with for my iconography, which ultimately inspired me to create a typeface that embodies the flow of time. While the project itself doesn’t lean into a futuristic tone, using the Time New Space font on its own naturally introduces a more technological, future-leaning mood.
